Absentee & Telephone Bidding |
ABSENTEE/TELEPHONE BID PROCEDURE ABSENTEE BIDS MAY BE LEFT AT THE PREVIEW OR DURING THE AUCTION OR USING THE ONLINE FORM BELOW Successful bidders will be notified shortly after the auction if they are successful and to arrange for payment and shipping. ABSENTEE: To place an absentee bid, simply fill out this email bidding form on this page, WITH YOUR NAME, shipping address email and telephone – the number of the article(s) you are interested in AND a short description (to preclude any confusion) and the bid you wish to leave. Once received, someone will telephone you to confirm the information and receive a credit card number as security. Absentee bids are executed by an experienced auction bidder who will represent your interests as if they were his or her own. The auctioneer will not know what your bid is though he will know that there is an absentee bid on an item. If there are more than one bid on the same item, the higher bidder will open at one increment above the lower bid. Someone leaving absentee bids at the auction will give a credit card number along with their bids. TELEPHONE: IN OUR DETERNINATION WE HAVE DECIDED TO ACCEPT TELEPHONE BIDS ON ITEMS YOU ARE WILLING TO OPEN AT $1000.00. OTHERWISE, PLEASE LEAVE AN ABSENTEE BID WHICH WILL BE SCRUPUOUSLY EXERCISED. The procedure for registering is the same as for Absentee Bidding, except you will be called for confirmation and credit card information after the order of the sale has been finalized so that you will know when the call from us will reach you on auction day, within a half hour or so. Someone will telephone you shortly before your desired item comes up and will execute your bid as if you were on the floor. TELEPHONE BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE: We STRONGLY recommend that you give us your failsafe maximum bid in the form of an absentee bid so that you will not lose out if anything should go amiss in contacting you. ALSO, YOU MUST BID DECISIVELY, as an indicator of the seriousness of your intentions. The auctioneer reserves the right to knock down the article to another bidder if your phone bidding is deemed to be slowing down the sale. The best way to achieve this is for our caller to BID UNTIL YOU SAY STOP. CUT-OFF TIME for accepting absentee and telephone bid requests will be 8:00 p.m. AST on Friday, March 2, 2007. Our onsite telephone number is 902-899-0801 CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. At this UNRESERVED AUCTION the Auctioneer determines when an article is sold and all sales are final. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer will be the buyer. However, the Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid not commensurate with the item being offered, which is not in conflict with the fact of this being an unreserved sale. 2 CATALOG: The Auctioneer and Consignor have taken great care to insure that any statements or descriptions regarding the items contained in the catalogue are accurate.
