CORNER CUPBOARD - pine barrel-back with 16 glass panes, glazing bars align perfectly with the shelves. Interior is in original blue and the shelf edges and pilasters are in a later yellow. The exterior of the cupboard has one coat of old brown paint over the original blue. All the glass is original with the exception of one pane 8" x 10". The cupboard is early 19th century with large forged nail construction. The measurements are 63" wide x 36" deep x 7'5" high. The cupboard will need a 40" corner. Found in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia near the Cape Breton Causeway. |

WALL BOX - pine 2 tier with butt joints & forged nail construction. The box retains a very old over paint of a light brownish-yellow color over the original red paint. The box shows lots of signs of wear on the inside of both tiers from years of use. There is one small piece of molding missing on the right side at the bottom. Measures 13 1/3" high x 12 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" deep. Circa 1800, found in Albert County New Brunswick. |

TWO-DRAWER STAND of pine construction with pegged legs. Drawers are dove tailed front & back. Drawer bottoms are chamfered and held with forged nails. Note unusual turnings on the legs. The drawers graduate and have original knobs. The top is a single board held with forged nails. Finish is an old varnish over what looks like an old mustard paint. Measures 16 1/3" deep x 20 1/2" wide x 25 1/2" high. The legs were never cut. Found in Albert County New Brunswick. |
